iBroadcast lets you enjoy your music beyond the web player and mobile apps. It's compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, TV apps, casting/AirPlay, Bluetooth and networked speakers, home audio systems, and more. These tools help you extend your library to all the devices you use.
¶ Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- iBroadcast is compatible with both CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Make sure iBroadcast is installed on your phone.
- Connect your phone to your car wirelessly with Bluetooth, or with a USB cable for older models.
- CarPlay (iPhone) or Android Auto (Android) will launch and display compatible apps, including iBroadcast.
- Older cars without CarPlay or Android Auto can still play iBroadcast via a standard Bluetooth connection. Pair your phone with your car’s audio system and play music directly from the iBroadcast mobile app.
Not all artists are showing up in CarPlay, or a certain artist is missing:
- There is a known issue with CarPlay on certain devices where some artists may not display due to on-screen list limitations. Future updates will make CarPlay search-based rather than list-based, which should resolve this issue.
💡 Tip: If an artist isn’t showing, try searching for the track instead of browsing the list.
Lists are incomplete or cut off in Android Auto:
- Android Auto limits how many list items can be displayed on the screen at once. Tap the three dots (overflow menu) to display more, when available. Future updates to make the car apps more search-centric will address this issue as well.
💡 Tip: When screen space limitations hamper your listening experience, controlling the app from your phone can be a workaround.
iBroadcast has apps for Roku, Apple TV, and Android TV.

- Enable the app in your iBroadcast account via the website. Under the profile menu (upper right), select Apps and find the relevant token.
- Enter the token in your TV app to log in.
- Download the Apple TV app to your iPhone.
- Enable the Apple TV app from the website or from your iBroadcast iPhone app (Profile → Apps).
- Enter the code on your Apple TV.
- Use your iPhone to play music and control playback on the TV.
Using iBroadcast on TVs without a dedicated app:
- You can cast or AirPlay from your mobile device to compatible TVs on the same Wi-Fi network.
View all devices where you’ve logged in or played music from iBroadcast:
- Web: Click the speaker icon on the player, or go to Profile Menu → My Devices
- Mobile: Tap the device icon on the mini or full screen player, or go to Profile → My Devices
This list includes currently connected devices as well as idle devices that have recently accessed your library.
From My Devices on the web player, click the 3 dots next a device → Rename Device.
Chromecast devices can be used with iBroadcast from the Android and iOS apps.
- Android: Use the Cast button from your device's Quick Settings Menu, or select the Chromecast device in the iBroadcast app from My Devices.
- iOS: Chromecast must first be enabled in the app via My Devices → Enable Chromecast. Once enabled, tap the speaker icon on the player → open My Devices → select your Chromcast device.
💡 Tip: Always check that your mobile device is on the same network as the Chromecast device before starting a session.
AirPlay lets iBroadcast stream music from the iOS app to compatible speakers and Apple TVs.
- Select Airplay from your device's Control Center, or choose the the AirPlay device from iBroadcast under My Devices.
- For best results, ensure that both devices are on the same wifi network (although iOS can also do peer-to-peer Airplay).
Device unexpectedly disconnects from Chromecast session:
- This is generally due to an interruption in your wifi network. Chromecast only work on wifi, so if your network cuts out, iBroadcast won't be able to communicate with the Chromecast device.
- iBroadcast will attempt to connect to a cellular network and resume playing, but the Chromecast session won't be connected. Chromecast may continue simultaneously playing songs that were already queued.
Google Home and Google Nest devices that support Chromecast can be used with the iBroadcast mobile app. However, Google Assistant voice commands are now deprecated; read more here.
