MediaSync Lite is an official app created by iBroadcast for adding music to your library. It is designed to make uploading large collections reliable and easy, with features like duplicate skipping, robust error handling, and the ability to download your library back to your device.
To begin an upload using MediaSync Lite:
- Open the MediaSync Lite app and login to your iBroadcast account.
- Search for a folder on your computer, drag and drop a folder, or insert an audio CD.
- MediaSync Lite will confirm the available files found. Only valid audio files are supported (MP4/video files are not).
- Click "Begin Upload".
- After the upload is complete, it will display the number of files uploaded, skipped, and any errors.
¶ Skipping Duplicates and Deleted Files
- By default, MediaSync Lite will skip files that previously been uploaded to your library. You can disable this by unchecking "Skip files already uploaded to my library”.
- MediaSync Lite will skip duplicates even if the old copy has been deleted. To reupload deleted tracks, disable duplicate skipping.
💡 Tip: You can also restore previously deleted files from your Track Dashboard.
If tracks have been uploaded, according to MediaSync Lite, but they're still missing from your library:
- Tracks may still be processing, especially for large uploads
- Check the Track Dashboard for status (processing errors or duplicates)
If a folder contains audio files, but MediaSync Lite is reporting no valid audio files found:
- Windows users: ensure files are been extracted from zipped folders
- Concurrent uploads may not preserve file order
- Playlists can maintain order via Upload a Playlist File in the web player.
- Use Start Download in MediaSync Lite to export your library back to your device.
- Premium users can choose whether downloads use original or updated metadata (web player setting).
Note: MediaSync Lite cannot currently sync changes automatically between your iBroadcast library and a local copy, but this may be added in the future.
